What this covers

High availability is where Linux administration stops being about one machine. This track covers cluster architecture and quorum, fencing and split brain, shared and replicated storage, failover behaviour and the testing that proves a cluster does what its design claims. Most outages in clustered systems come from a failover nobody had ever actually rehearsed.

It suits engineers already comfortable at LPIC-2 or RHCSA level who now carry systems with an availability commitment attached, and it pairs naturally with the storage and virtualisation work in the enterprise Linux track.
