Enterprise server blades mounted in a rack

Does your team need recognised Linux skills to run your servers?

Enterprise Linux

The full enterprise Linux ladder, from first administration role through to engineer level, across LPI, Red Hat and SUSE.

What this covers

This is the track most careers in this field start with, and the one most employers screen for. It covers installing, configuring, securing and maintaining enterprise Linux systems: the file system and boot process, users and permissions, packages and services, networking, storage, logging, and the shell fluency that separates someone who can follow a runbook from someone who can write one.

The three vendor ladders overlap deliberately. LPIC is distribution neutral and travels anywhere; Red Hat and SUSE are hands-on and performance based, which is why their certifications carry weight in tenders. We advise on which ladder actually suits your team rather than selling the longest one.
